Terra: Apartment | 130sq.m./ Kyiv / 2022
Terra is an interior shaped by the strength of the earth and its raw materiality.
The space is built on deep, earthy tones and expressive textures inspired by natural formations rich in iron — warm, saturated hues with organic depth and subtle irregularity.
Living room
In the studio area, a large accent wall evokes a rock formation — monumental and sculptural, with the feeling of a natural fracture. The rock motif continues into the bedroom, where the textured surface creates a sense of shelter and grounded calm.
KItchen
Stone-look porcelain tile flooring reinforces the monolithic quality of the interior. Large dark clay chandeliers resemble fired artifacts, adding a sense of primal strength and sculptural presence.
Other walls reinterpret elemental forces — oxidized metal and dense layers of earth. All surfaces are finished with decorative plaster that masterfully imitates natural materials, conveying their weight, tactility, and character.
Hallway
The corridor is a monumental yet accentuated space, highlighted by earth-textured plaster, cabinets with metallic plaster fronts, black lighting fixtures, and stone-effect tiles.
The black wooden ceiling beams introduce rhythm and visual interest, adding complexity to the space and preventing monotony.
Terra is a space where material speaks louder than decoration — where the strength of the earth meets the refinement of form.
Badroom
In contrast to the raw textures, refined furniture in soft beige tones introduces lightness and elegance. Veneered panels and calm parquet flooring enhance the sense of sophistication. This deliberate balance between rugged finishes and graceful forms defines the project’s identity. The contrast between raw, powerful surfaces and elegant furnishings creates depth, tension, and harmony.
