The Woven Home: |
450 sq.m. / KOZYN / 2024
This space is an oasis of calm and comfort — exactly how the owner of the brand “The Coat,” Katya Silchenko, describes it. A large, light-filled home bathed in sunlight welcomes you with a sense of soft warmth from the very entrance. Shades of creamy butter tones dominate throughout. There is an abundance of natural wood with a 100-year history, continuing its life in new forms.
The floor flows seamlessly into the walls, as both are finished in microcement, creating a cohesive surface that establishes the perfect neutral backdrop against which all interior elements stand out in contrast.
This house cannot be confined to a single style. Ukrainian ethnic influences are felt intuitively — in the forms, in the soulful atmosphere, and in the respect for natural materials. They are delicately interwoven with English classicism, with its restrained elegance, and Scandinavian simplicity, which brings lightness and airiness to the space.
Everything here speaks of comfort, tranquility, and warmth. There is nothing excessive, nothing overtly decorative — only meaningful pieces filled with character and soul. Each of them evokes cherished memories for the homeowner.
In this house, it is easy to dissolve into silence, to allow yourself to simply be, to feel, and to notice the smallest details. Everything here is about comfort and relaxation. Time itself seems to slow down, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the warmth of your own home and leave the turbulence of the outside world beyond its doors.

Classical elements — cornices, symmetry, and elegant silhouettes — are thoughtfully reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. The interior delicately weaves together textures of natural stone and minimalist porcelain stoneware, while American walnut veneer is paired with sculptural elements crafted from solid natural wood. This interplay creates a rich, multi-layered tactility that invites closer exploration and appreciation.
Kitchen
The façade is clad in wooden shingles, while the roof is finished with standing seam metal. All terraces are paved with porcelain tiles that mimic the texture and appearance of natural stone and are additionally finished with thermally treated wood, combining durability with a warm, tactile quality.
The structural system of the house is designed for clarity, efficiency, and elegance. The building rests on a monolithic concrete foundation, with walls constructed from aerated concrete blocks to ensure durability and thermal performance. Wooden trusses, spaced at 1200 mm, span up to 12 meters, forming the primary floor and roof structure and allowing for expansive,
